Teach Your Mind. You Can..
Why belief is important?
It is true to say that people don’t usually lack resources, what they lack is control over their resources.Your believe – leads to excellence
Awareness is very important, how one controls their mind, their thought process is what makes them and can break them.
Internal communication, what we call self talk.how someone communicates the situation to themselves makes the difference.
How mindset changes the performance?
Its is true success is not an easy pie, many times great athletes were unable to deliver the desired result and result in underperformance, How do they come out with flying colors then? Here mind control and belief comes into play.
How does a coach or mentor change an athlete?
They bring out the best in their followers, those who follow their advice strictly with discipline, creating a self-talk, a communication to their mind, that if they want, they can make things possible.
Positive self talk changes what you believe.
- Creating a cue from their past when they performed best – when they thought of the best performance scenario, a time, a state of mind, when they did best and gave their best, the belief they had, they could again model the same result, their body and mind supported for the best performance.
- It is the communication to self that whatever they believe, they can!
- So the same way, when you are in a positive state you tend to give your best.
Best mental state results in the best outcome, there will be enthusiasm, zeal and commitment, discipline becomes the force that drives you to take action.
How you can change the game
Imagine if you know by your experience that something is not possible, you might fail, how will you perform, certainly your body language and your attitude changes, contrary to that if that is being made possible by others (except some physical feat that needs specific physical strength). Why can’t you accomplish that?
Proof, how you can ?
For that let’s go back in time. For thousands of years running a mile that is 1.6 Km within 4 minute was impossible, even medical scholars of that time said.
“It is not possible for a human body, running a mile under 4 minute! “
That means it was impossible then for all.
Roger Bannister on 6 May 1954 made it possible to complete 1 mile race within 3 min 59 sec 04 micro, surprise to know a year later someone else ran a mile in under 4 minutes, it became a routine now even high-school students can run a mile in 4-minutes.
Roger Bannister’s approach was unique he broke down the target or a mile in small parts like ⅓ of mile then ½ of the mile and raised his bar and pushed the limits, he practiced for it and finally he broke the record at once, he trained his mind to believe that, it is possible and thrown the other belief why it can’t.
“Some men see things as they are and ask Why? Others dream things that never were and ask why not” George Bernard Shaw
the same way for achieving a larger feat, one needs to take small steps and should be committed 100% for these small steps, and very soon one will reach their goal.
Every time you have to communicate to your self
- Your goal – remind yourself every time you can achieve it
- Take action even if it small – be committed to take action
- Check are you on track what is the deviation what change in action will keep you on track
- Be focused in you goal. Avoid distractions.
- Take corrective action for any deviation.
Remember we never fail, actuall we learn in this process to change our action that result differently towards achieving our the goal.
Conclusion
Finally remember when you give your best, you get the best, however even if you fail, learn from it, do not stop, do communicate the right message to yourself, be committed and take action with strong belief.
“You don’t learn to walk by following rules. You learn by doing, and by falling over.”
― Richard Branson
